Plena Libre is a dynamic 12-member band from Puerto Rico that blends traditional Plena and Bomba rhythms with Afro-Caribbean styles and jazz. For 30+ years, they've captivated audiences with their powerful horns, masterful drumming and respect for indigenous musical roots. Led by founder and bassist Gary Nuñez, the group revitalized the plena tradition for a new generation, delivering soulful and electrifying performances.
